Below is the long summary of volume 2 of the You-Zitsu light novel series.
Prologue
Airi Sakura gives a monologue where she describes what type of person she is, stating that she is not good at interpersonal interaction. She acknowledges that people can't live in total isolation, and thus, she has created a facade in order to hide her true self from others. She wonders if other people put on facades as well. Finally, she mentions that, more than anything, she wants to find a person who can connect with.
Chapter 1
While looking for good places to take pictures, Sakura comes across a fight happening on campus, where Ken Sudō had one-sidedly beaten Daichi Ishizaki, Kyōgo Komiya, and Reo Kondō of Class 1-C. Shocked at what she was seeing, she takes a few pictures of the event while the two parties were taunting one another. As Sudō begins to leave, one of the Class C boys says that Sudō will regret it later. Sakura is able to run off before she could be discovered, although Sudō senses her movement.
The next day is the first day of the month, and Class 1-D is excited to receive points for passing the midterm exams a week earlier. Class 1-D's homeroom teacher, Sae Chabashira, arrives and is immediately bombarded with questions asking why the students have yet to get any points for this month despite having passed the midterms. Chabashira announces the class point totals for the month, with other classes getting almost 100 more points than last month and Class D now has 87 points. Ike wonders why they haven't received their private points. Chabashira ominously states that the first-years' points for this month are currently delayed while the school decides on something and that the students will need to wait until the situation is resolved.
After lunch begins, Kiyotaka Ayanokōji stays in the classroom and frets over his lack of friends that he feels he can regularly spend time with for lunch. Suzune Horikita chides him a bit for his poor social skills and the two talk for a bit while looking at the students who are also eating lunch alone.
After school ends, Chabashira tells Sudō to come to the staff room with her. He resists a bit, but after Chabashira gives out a few threats, he concedes and follows her. Kiyotaka and Suzune leave for the dorms together, discussing Sudō and the delayed points. Kiyotaka tells Suzune that she should occasionally check the group chat that they invited her to, but she refuses due to a lack of interest.
Suzune asserts that Kiyotaka has changed over the last two months, to which Kiyotaka attributes to making friends and getting used to school. He gives additional credit to Kikyō Kushida, which prompts Suzune to ask him about whether or not he's concerned about being around her despite knowing about her other side. Kiyotaka asks Suzune what she did to receive scorn from Kushida, to which she states that she doesn't know.
That evening, after having dinner and heading back to his room, Kiyotaka checks the point balance and sees it still hasn't changed. The door suddenly swings open, with Sudō barging in. Kiyotaka is unsure about how he got in as the door had already been locked, and Sudō reveals that since Kiyotaka's room is the meeting place for the group, everyone had a discussion and made duplicate key cards for easy access, unbeknownst to Kiyotaka. Sudō cries for help but Kiyotaka is annoyed about his room being intruded. After Sudō settles in, Kushida also enters the room with her own key card. They exchange greetings and Sudō begins to explain that he might be suspended soon for allegedly beating up some Class 1-C students the day before. He elaborates that the students from Class C were the ones who had called him out, telling him to quit basketball. They then attacked him, but failed due to the difference in strength. After losing the fight, the Class C students had gone to the school and filed a complaint, stating that Sudō had assaulted them. Sudō had explained this when he was taken to the staff room and was given a short amount of time to prove his side of the story. In order to avoid suspension and the loss of class points, he came to Kiyotaka for help.
After considering the situation, Kiyotaka explains that they need to acquire evidence to support Sudō for him to have any chance of avoiding suspension. Due to the fact that Sudō had been virtually unharmed during the incident whilst the Class C boys had received injuries, it would be difficult to prove he was using self-defense. Sudō remembers that he felt as though someone was watching while the fight was happening, but he was unable to verify it after looking around. After begging for their help, Kushida agrees to assist him and Sudō heads back to his own room after asking them not to tell the story to anyone.
Kushida turns to Kiyotaka and asks if he would help Sudō, to which he replies that there isn't much he can do. She then seriously suggests to him to put more effort into blending in with the class and pressures him into agreeing to help with the situation. They decide to begin by looking for the supposed witness of the event.
Chapter 2
The next morning, Chabashira announces to the class that Sudō had gotten in a fight a few days earlier with C-Class students and that the two sides had given conflicting reports of what happened. She asks if there was a witness to the event, and states that the other teachers are also asking their own classes about the presence of a witness. After no response was given, Chabashira ends homeroom and leaves the class. Many of the students from Class 1-D begin to voice their frustration for Sudō and his attitude. Kushida intervenes in the negative atmosphere to stand up for Sudō, stating that he had been looking for help to prove his side on the matter the day before and proceeds to explain everything to the class. Although other students still voice their dissatisfaction, Yōsuke Hirata and Kei Karuizawa back her up and the atmosphere in the class changes into one motivated to prove Sudō innocent.
Later at lunch, Kushida, Horikita, Kiyotaka, and the 3 Idiots of D-Class are gathered to discuss the situation. Sudō apologises to Horikita for the trouble he had gotten the class into, to which Horikita coldly responds and refuses to help, causing the two to argue. Horikita leaves the lunch table and goes and sits on her own. Kiyotaka attempts to explain that Horikita doesn't strictly hate Sudō, but that she probably had a reason for not wanting to get involved in the situation. Kushida leaves to ask some of the second and third-year students about the situation and the group's discussion quickly turns to what girls each member of the group is attracted to. As Kanji Ike talks about his passion for Kushida, he mentions that he has been using the feature on his phone that allows the students to find out the location of registered friends to keep track of her whereabouts to ensure she hasn't gotten a boyfriend.
After school, two groups of students were formed in order to search for the potential witness to the event, with Hirata and Karuizawa leading one group and Kushida leading the other. Suzune leaves the classroom after explicitly stating that she wouldn't be helping the search. Kiyotaka hadn't been intending to help himself, but after being begged by Kushida he concedes to help with the search. Kushida requests for him to convince Suzune to help the search. The two of them leave to catch up with Suzune and meet with her in front of the school. They call out to her and once again request her assistance on the matter. She once again declines and explains that until the reason why Sudō was involved in the matter is brought to light, she will refuse to assist them. She then looks towards Kiyotaka and states that he pretends to not understand or know things, but that he knows more than he's letting on.
As Suzune left, Kushida turned to Kiyotaka who had been looking concerned for an explanation. Kiyotaka hesitantly explains that Suzune was saying that Sudō's antagonistic behaviour and provoking actions played a part that leads to the current situation, regardless of the involvement of the students from C-Class. He states that until Sudō recognizes and reflects on his mistakes, Suzune will refuse to help on the matter. Her goal is to teach him a lesson and show that he won't continue to make these types of mistakes at the detriment of Class 1-D. Kiyotaka requests for them to stay silent and not bring this up to Sudō, since it would lose its meaning if he didn't come to this conclusion on his own. They head back to the classroom and regroup with Ike and Haruki Yamauchi, where they decide to go and ask class B about the presence of a witness. They all head to Class 1-B and sit back and wait for Kushida to handle the discussion with the students she knows.
Chapter 3
The next morning, Hirata and Kushida exchange information about who they consulted the previous day as the class discusses the situation. Hirata encourages the class not to give up and remain confident in Sudō's innocence. The conversation in the class turns to one about points and the envy various D-Class students feel about how many points A-Class is receiving. As the students lament about their inability to reach A-Class, Chabashira speaks up and informs them of a method of getting to A-class immediately. She states that with 20 million points, you are able to buy the right to transfer into the class of your choice, but also mentions that it has never been accomplished before. Curious about this, Suzune asks what the highest amount of points a student managed to accumulate in the history of the school. It is revealed that three years earlier, a B-Class student had managed to gather 12 million points before getting expelled for fraud in his goal to reach A-Class.
Chabashira thinks about points and then mentions that she had forgotten to explain to the class that students could obtain points for their performance in club activities. Using the new information from their teacher, Kiyotaka appeals to Suzune regarding Sudō, mentioning his worth as the best first-year in the basketball program that he's in. Suzune considers this and concedes that Sudō might have some use despite his shortcomings and tells him that she will think about it.
After school, the group gather in Kiyotaka's room to discuss the situation, after spending their time investigating. Suzune swings by, looking to speak with Kiyotaka on her own, but immediately realises that the entire group is present. Kushida looked over and Suzune is trapped into coming into the room. Begrudgingly, Suzune admits to the group that she has found out who the witness for the event was, naming them as Airi Sakura from their class. She states that Airi had looked away from Kushida the morning when she asked the class to help to find the witness in Sudō's case, while other students were focused on her, including Kiyotaka, who is impressed with Suzune's observation. Most of the group has issues remembering who Airi is due to her shy nature and loner personality. They thank Suzune for her help on the topic, and Kushida attempts to contact her but is unsuccessful. After discussing how to talk with her, the group ultimately resolves for Kushida to confront her the next day.
The next morning, Hirata comes to Kiyotaka to discuss Airi and the unfolding situation, looking to use him as a proxy for Suzune. They agree to meet up some time until Kiyotaka's attention is drawn to Airi entering the room. Kushida approaches her after homeroom ends and Airi becomes very evasive and nervous. Airi gives a few excuses to leave and denies being present for the fight, but Kushida pressures her more on the matter. Kiyotaka understands why Suzune believes her to be the witness since it's clear to him that she's trying to hide something. Airi turns to leave the classroom but bumps into Ryōtarō Hondō and drops her digital camera on the floor. She tests the camera and finds that it's broken. Distraught, Airi excuses herself and runs out of the classroom.
Sudō feels disappointed as he believes Airi doesn't want to help, while Suzune speaks her thoughts on the matter. Kushida points out to Kiyotaka that the other students in the class are starting to lose the desire to help Sudō. Kōenji speaks up and tells Sudō to get expelled, which enrages Sudō. Hirata stops the two and Sudō storms out of the classroom upset. Kiyotaka brings up Sudō's future athletic worth to Suzune, but she dismisses it being helpful at the moment in her goal of reaching Class A. They also have doubts in Airi being a useful witness for the incident due to her being from Class 1-D. Kiyotaka laments that the fight hadn't occurred in a classroom, as the cameras installed in one would've helped to provide evidence against Class C's claims. Suzune then invites Kiyotaka to head home together as she wants to talk about something, to which a confused Kiyotaka agrees, but asks to stop at somewhere first before returning to the dorms.
The two of them head towards the club building together and speak for a bit before determining that there are no cameras in the hallways where Sudō and the C-Class students had fought one another. There are outlets near the ceiling, but no camera is present. Since their plan has failed, the two walks around the building for a bit talking about the situation. Kiyotaka suggests her to find a different plan, while Suzune expresses that she wants to lessen the blame placed upon Sudō so the class wouldn't lose too many points. They turn around the corner to exit the building and Kiyotaka runs into Airi. Kiyotaka immediately recognises her, and she explains that her hobby is taking pictures and shows her phone, trying to explain why she wasn't paying attention. She then notices Suzune and immediately starts to run off after being told she has something to ask her.
As she's running off, Kiyotaka calls out to her that she doesn't have to push herself, and then states that she doesn't have to come out as the witness. He adds on that if she is being threatened, he will try to help as much as he can. She seems to respond to this and leaves. Suzune questions him for his decision to not stop her and he asserts that Airi being a witness for the event doesn't help much anyway.
As they talk, they are called out to by Honami Ichinose from Class 1-B, asking them what they are doing here. She recognises that they belong to Class 1-D, and mentions that she had met Kiyotaka before on two occasions. They say that they were investigating the incident that happened a few days ago, and Ichinose states that she was also doing some investigations of her own and asks if she could help out with the situation. Suzune is on guard and Kiyotaka is a bit doubtful of her intentions, but he eventually explains what they know of the situation. They talk for a bit about the situation, with Ichinose offering to help them. Ichinose also mentions that Sudō will be a great asset in the future since the class will also gain points if he performs well in sports.
Learning this new information, Suzune and Kiyotaka explain that their teacher never tells them anything until much after the other classes are aware of it, expressing discontent with having Chabashira as the teacher of their class. Ichinose states that teachers are also evaluated when their class graduates, and after talking a bit more, she exchanges contact information with Kiyotaka for future communication. Heading back to the dorms, Kiyotaka concludes that Ichinose is attempting to gain D-Class's trust by helping out with the situation.
Suzune follows Kiyotaka to his room, where she consults him about his thoughts on the case. She is concerned about Kushida's willingness to help Sudō and recalls the conclusion that she had come to earlier on the matter, that is to leave Sudō to accept punishments from the school for his own sake. She then asserts that Kiyotaka told Kushida the extent of the situation the day before. Kiyotaka is silent while Suzune brings up how he had gotten the old midterm test questions and bought Sudō's test point with private points. Kiyotaka attempts to deny her accusations, but despite his denial, she asserts that he is hiding his true ability. Kiyotaka realises that he had messed up a little and allowed Suzune to see too much.
While leaving for school the next day, Kiyotaka runs into Ichinose. The two decide to head to school together, and Kiyotaka realises the massive amount of popularity that Ichinose has with most of the students that pass them by. They talk about the upcoming summer vacation on a tropical island and share their doubts that the vacation is what it seems to be. This prompts them to discuss the class points system and how exactly the classes are separated by merit. Suddenly, in the midst of their conversation, Ichinose changes the topic and asks if Kiyotaka had ever been confessed to by a girl before. Confused by her sudden change in topic and attitude, Kiyotaka questions why she's asking. Ichinose brushes his concern aside and requests him to meet her by the entrance of the school after classes end for the day, to which he accepts.
After class that day, the two meet up in front of the school building. They go behind the school building and Ichinose tells him that she is going to be confessed to, behind the school in about 10 minutes, and that she would like for him to pretend to be her boyfriend so that she can avoid having to hurt the person's feelings so they can remain friends. Uncomfortable with the situation, Kiyotaka attempts to give a complete response but the conversation is interrupted by Chihiro Shiranami who has come to the confession location early.
She asks if Kiyotaka was Ichinose's boyfriend, to which Ichinose fumbles around with her words a bit, unable to give a clear response. Before Ichinose could say anything else, Kiyotaka states simply that the two of them are only friends. He then tells Ichinose that confessing puts someone's feelings out there and that the right thing to do is to give those feelings a proper answer and not to hide away from them. Kiyotaka heads to the front of the school and takes a seat on a railing. Not long after, he sees Shiranami running past him crying with Ichinose appearing not long afterwards. Ichinose understands that she was incorrect to not respect Shiranami's feelings and thanks Kiyotaka for helping her out moments earlier.
That night, Kiyotaka gets a call from Kushida. She explains that she feels guilty for having caused the situation where Airi's camera was broken and tells Kiyotaka that they plan on going out over the weekend to get the camera fixed. She adds on that she would like him to join her for the event, and the two begin to talk about their classmates for a bit before Kiyotaka asks to confirm that Kushida lives on the 9th floor. Their conversation dies out and neither of them talks for a bit. Kiyotaka attempts to end the call after a while when Kushida tells him to wait and begins to say something but stops herself. The two end the call as Kiyotaka wonders if it was something he had said to her.
On Sunday afternoon, Kiyotaka goes to the mall to meet Kushida. Kushida thinks they look great together and mentions that Airi asked her to invite him. They then notice her sitting on the bench next to them. Airi apologises for not standing out and removes her face mask. She again apologises for asking them to come with her, and they head to the electronics store.
While Kushida finds the repair counter, Kiyotaka and Airi have a small talk about Airi's hobby of taking pictures. Airi suddenly stops and Kiyotaka notices her fearful behaviour but brushes it off when Kushida asks about it. Kushida then goes with Airi to talk with the store clerk, while Kiyotaka starts checking out other appliances in the store.
Kiyotaka notices the clerk being uncomfortably aggressive towards Kushida. Airi's camera has been damaged from the fall and thanks to her having the warranty card, it can be fixed free of charge. However, Airi starts hesitating when being asked to fill in her information, with the clerk staring at her with unsettling eyes. Kiyotaka then asks to see the form and fills his contact information in, telling the clerk to contact him when the repair is done.
While returning, they talk about how suspicious the clerk was, with Airi mentioning her fear of going to the shop alone because of him. She expresses her gratitude to Kiyotaka, and he says he will get in touch with her when the camera is repaired. Airi then talks about her love for cameras and taking pictures since she was a kid. She gets flustered when being asked if she ever takes pictures of people instead of landscapes. Kiyotaka says he needs to look around the store and the two girls decide to come along.
Kiyotaka calls the 'Professor', Hideo Sotomura, to ask about some kind of product. After glancing at Airi's profile, Kushida thinks she has met her somewhere and asks her to remove the glasses she is wearing, but Airi refuses, using her bad eyesight as an excuse. Airi thanks Kiyotaka and Kushida for accompanying her, while they tell her to not be too formal and just talk to them normally as friends.
As Kushida bids farewell, Airi speaks up and tells them that she may be able to help out in Sudō's case. She admits to having coincidentally seen the incident. Kiyotaka and Kushida tell Airi not to force herself just because she's grateful, but she denies and says she would probably come to regret it if she stayed silent.
Later that night, Kiyotaka and Kushida talk about Airi's appearance and how her glasses look out of place, with Kiyotaka pointing out they are fake and suspecting that Airi is hiding her true self. Their call gets interrupted when Kiyotaka receives another incoming call from Airi. She again thanks Kiyotaka for earlier but becomes silence afterwards and asks what he was thinking of, prompting Kiyotaka to ask if there's something wrong. She says it's nothing and cuts off the call, leaving Kiyotaka confused.
Chapter 4
The day before Sudō's trial, Kiyotaka notices a paper asking for information related to the case on the bulletin board. He then meets Ichinose and Ryūji Kanzaki, her classmate, who made it. Ichinose mentions she has also used the message board on the school's homepage to find more information. She then receives 2 messages about the matter and shows them to Kiyotaka. They find out Daichi Ishizaki from C-Class was a delinquent and is good at fighting, which casts doubt upon the fact that Sudō had easily beaten them all and they might have let him on purpose to trap him. Ichinose says that it's still a pretty weak proof, while Kiyotaka avoids mentioning Airi being a witness.
Ichinose wants to transfer points to the anonymous information provider but wonders how to do so. Kiyotaka offers to help, and while instructing Ichinose, he spots something unusual on her phone for a split second.
Kiyotaka then sees Kushida and they exchange greetings. Suzune mentions that he has a weird look on his face and how easily he accepted Kushida's requests comparing to hers. Kiyotaka is then asked to meet Kushida in the hallway, leaving Suzune puzzled. Kushida thinks Suzune feels alienated and lonely for not being invited to go with them the day before.
After class is finished, Kiyotaka, Kushida and Airi meet Chabashira in the faculty room. They tell her about Airi being a witness for Sudō's case and she goes on to explains what she has seen. Chabashira is sceptical as Airi did not step forward back in class but now decided to testify. Airi says she thought she could help as the class is in trouble. Chabashira is still doubtful, but eventually accepts her testimony for the time being and asks Airi to be present at the deliberation meeting. Airi accepts and Kushida asks to participate as well. Chabashira replies that only 2 more people are allowed and tells them to think carefully. After returning to class, they explain the situation to Suzune. They decide to have Suzune and Kiyotaka sit in on the deliberation, as Kushida does not seem particularly useful when it comes to debate.
During lunch, the group gather to discuss strategy for tomorrow. As Ike and Yamauchi scramble over a weekly manga magazine, Kushida notices something and begins to look it up in her phone. After returning to his room, Kiyotaka receives messages from Airi, asking him to meet her at room 1106 and keep it a secret. Kiyotaka then encounters Suzune in the elevator. Suzune wonders if he is going to Airi's room, but decides it's not her business after Kiyotaka denies it.
Kiyotaka goes to Airi's room and they start talking. Airi is worried about her self-confidence for tomorrow's deliberation and considers taking a day off from school. Kiyotaka wonders why she decided to call him instead of Kushida or someone else, to which she replies that she isn't afraid of his eyes. After seeing Airi getting anxious again, Kiyotaka asks if it is fine for him to talk instead if she quits, as it would be meaningless to force her to. Airi asks him for the best thing to do, and Kiyotaka tells her to do what she wants. He also says she'll be able to make friends and considers himself a friend of her.
Kiyotaka then invites Airi for a walk outside and they come to a building used for club activities that Airi has wanted to visit. They talk about making friends for a bit. Kiyotaka then advises Airi to speak for herself tomorrow as a witness by telling the truth for her own sake.
That night, the group except Sudō and Suzune gather at Kiyotaka's room. Kushida has found out and shows them about Airi Sakura being 'Shizuku', a former gravure idol that was just featured in a magazine and disappeared when she started becoming popular. Later on, after the group disbanded, Kiyotaka and Kushida talk about Airi's hidden persona. Kiyotaka then mentions about their last phone call and what Kushida was trying to tell him. Kushida says it's a personal request for later.
Afterwards, Kiyotaka starts researching on Shizuku's blog and her popularity. He then notices the creepy comments from a crazed fan, with one being on last Sunday. Kiyotaka immediately realises it's the clerk from the electronics store they've gone to, who had recognised Airi when she bought the camera after enrolling to the school and brought it to the store again for reparations. Kiyotaka continues to find more later comments that are frightening from him and decides to wait for an SOS from Airi as there's hardly anything he can do to solve the issue by tomorrow.
Chapter 5
The day of deliberation comes. Kiyotaka checks in on Airi, who has decided to come to school. After class is over, Kiyotaka, Suzune, Sudō and Airi go to the meeting. They are greeted by B-Class's homeroom teacher, Chie Hoshinomiya, who gets pushed back to the faculty room by Chabashira. Chabashira tells them the Student Council will also be present, causing Suzune to freeze for a moment. They then reach the Student Council room on the 4th floor.
Manabu Horikita, the Student Council President, announces the start of the discussion and tells Secretary Akane Tachibana to start the proceedings. He adds that he has attended this discussion since he is entrusted as the president.
Sudō tells his story on the matter, that Komiya and Kondō had called him to the special building, but they deny and claim the opposite. Both sides start arguing and claim that the other party is at fault. Kiyotaka notices Suzune has been completely silent and recalls the talk between her and her brother behind the dormitory. As Sudō is at the disadvantage in the discussion, Kiyotaka grabs Suzune's sides and tickles her. Suzune gets startled and Kiyotaka tells her to get a grip as they're going to lose.
After regaining her senses, Suzune starts speaking up. She casts her suspicion on why Ishizaki, who is not in the Basketball club, was present in the special building. When they argue that he was there as a bodyguard, Suzune points out the possibility of them being injured that much should be pretty low as Ishizaki is good at fighting. Suzune then says there's a witness that has seen the whole incident, and Airi is called into the meeting.
After being asked to begin her testimony, Airi starts suffering from her anxiety and cannot manage to speak. Kazuma Sakagami, C-Class's homeroom teacher, asks to end the meeting so they won't waste their time, and Chabashira seemingly agrees. Chabashira then tells Airi to come down, but she suddenly speaks up loudly and says the C-Class boys had thrown the first punch.
Sakagami questions Airi on the reason for her late appearance as a witness and her shy personality, then concludes that her story is falsified by her class to make her a witness, but Suzune counters the idea. Airi says she has proof and throws down the pictures of herself being taken in the building, which also show the date and time. Sakagami tries arguing that the information from a digital camera can be fixed, but Manabu shows them a picture of the fight itself.
Sakagami then proposes a compromise, in which Sudō receives a 2-week suspension, while the C-Class boys receive a 1-week suspension. Chabashira and Kiyotaka express their agreement, with Suzune also seemingly accepting it. She also blames Sudō's attitude for the result. However, she claims that Sudō is innocent in this case and they won't accept his suspension.
Manabu concludes that one side has been lying and announces to have another meeting at 4:00 PM tomorrow. If no one admits they're at fault, the council will judge using the pieces of evidence and may consider expulsion.
Airi starts bursting into tears after the meeting. Suzune reassures her, stating she has no intention to lose and leaves, followed by Sudō. Airi apologises for not stepping forward earlier and Kiyotaka consoles her. Manabu and Tachibana then come out of the room, with Manabu asking Kiyotaka on his plan but he denies having any. Manabu tells Airi he cannot accept her testimony as being completely true as she is from D-Class, but Kiyotaka says he believes her and Suzune will prove it. After Manabu and Tachibana have left, Kiyotaka encourages Airi and expresses his gratitude to her.
While walking back together, Kiyotaka and Airi continue to talk about her feelings. They see Ichinose and Kanzaki who've been waiting for the result. Kiyotaka asks Airi to continue their talk later and she leaves. Kiyotaka explains what happened and they discuss about the compromise. Kiyotaka says his class will fight till the end, with Ichinose and Kanzaki also telling they will continue their help. Suzune appears and says their help is not necessary, but she wants them to prepare something for a risky strategy. Ichinose and Kanzaki are hesitant for a bit but eventually agree. Ichinose then takes out her cell phone and lends it to Suzune. Kiyotaka also offers to contact 'Professor' for his assistance. He then suddenly receives a blow from Suzune for his actions earlier.
Epilogue
Kiyotaka and Suzune meet on the next day, pondering about the strategy she has come up with. As Kiyotaka starts walking, Suzune is about to say something but decides against it until after Sudō's case is settled. After arriving at the classroom, they get surprised when seeing Airi has already been there and she tries to greet them.
30 minutes before the discussion, Kiyotaka leaves the classroom, telling Airi he isn't participating in the discussion. He also tells her not to get worked up and she says she wants to do her best like everyone. Kiyotaka then tells her that he wanted to talk to her about something later.
Kiyotaka goes to the special building to meet the 3 C-Class boys, who have received emails from Kushida to come. Kiyotaka says he wants to talk but Ishizaki gets irritated and the three start to leave after knowing Kushida isn't coming. However, they unexpectedly get stopped by Ichinose. She accuses them of lying but Ishizaki still claims Sudō started the fight. Ichinose points out the school could've punished Sudō immediately but chose not to and that they know C-Class has been lying. While Ishizaki laughs it off, she mentions the security cameras and points to one installed in the hallway. Ichinose also points out another camera on the other end, causing the boys to be in disbelief. She also says the Student Council President has seen through everything and, even if they manage to get Sudō suspended for a day, they will face expulsion from the school. She then asks them to withdraw their complaint as it would be best for both classes. Ishizaki frantically tries to call someone but Ichinose threatens to report the security footage to the school right away. They finally give in and agree to withdraw from the case.
Later on, Kiyotaka and Ichinose talk about the case while they are uninstalling the cameras. Ichinose and Kanzaki, together with 'Professor', have bought and installed the fake security cameras during lunch break. Kiyotaka promise to return the points he borrowed from Ichinose. As she mentions that she wanted to tell him about something, Kiyotaka suddenly remembers about Airi and rushes away, with Ichinose also starts chasing behind.
They arrive at the entrance of the electronics store in accordance with the tracking data on Kiyotaka's phone, then quietly watch Airi being confronted by the clerk. The clerk has sent hundreds of letters to her room and claims it's destiny for him to see her. Airi, however, rejects his confessions and throws his letters to the ground. He then pins her against the wall as she desperately tells him to stop. Kiyotaka and Ichinose proceed to act as a delinquent couple that caught the scene while taking pictures of the clerk. He tries to make an excuse but Kiyotaka threatens to expose him with the pictures they've taken if he doesn't stay away from Airi. The clerk gets scared and races back inside the store to escape.
Kiyotaka quickly holds Airi as she is about to collapse. He mentions the fact they exchanged contact information and encourages her. Ichinose is curious about Airi, and after she's given permission, Kiyotaka explains about Airi being a former idol, making Ichinose excited. Ichinose then introduces herself to Airi. She also tells Kiyotaka that C-Class's Kakeru Ryūen was the one behind Sudō's case, as he also caused a dispute between B-Class and C-Class.
10 minutes before the deliberation, Suzune and Sudō arrive at the Student Council room. Shortly after, Manabu, Chabashira and Sakagami also come. They notice Kiyotaka's absent, with Suzune saying the results will be the same even without him. The C-Class boys then appear, but nervously ask to withdraw their complaint. Chabashira chuckles while Sakagami gets angry and asks if they were threatened. They reaffirm their decision and Manabu mentions that they have to cover payment of points to withdraw, to which they agree.
After the case has ended, Chabashira reaches out to Sudō, who then gives his apology to both her and Suzune. After he has left for club activities, Chabashira asks Suzune on how they were able to get C-Class to withdraw, but she says it's a secret. They talk about Kiyotaka, with Chabashira telling Suzune to learn as much about him as she can before it's too late, and that he is the most defective student in D-Class.
Kiyotaka meets Sudō outside the Student Council room, who expresses his happiness and heads back to his club. Kiyotaka then sees Manabu and Tachibana and they talk about the result of the meeting. Manabu then offers Kiyotaka a secretary seat in the Student Council, which shocks Tachibana, but Kiyotaka declines, citing he wants to live an ordinary life at the school. Kiyotaka then sees Suzune, who accuses him to have manipulated her to come up with the plan by purposely stating there were no security cameras at the scene of the incident. Kiyotaka realises he has gotten involved a little too much.
A male student, who appears to be Ryūen, approaches them and mentions about the cameras being set up. As Suzune asks who he is, he claims to be her opponent for the next time.
Afterwards, Kiyotaka tries to head back to his room but Suzune attempts to stop him. She points out how he's gotten involved in this case despite claiming to dislike trouble and drawing attention. Kiyotaka replies he wants to help the first friends he's made. He then thinks about Ryūen's apparent declaration, Ichinose and Kanzaki from B-Class, and Suzune's goal of reaching A-Class. He then realises that he only wanted to have an ordinary, regular life and that he knows himself more than anyone else and how defective he truly is.
