Summary[]

The next day, Kiyotaka heads to a restaurant on the cruise ship after receiving an invitation from Suzune to talk. When he arrives, he takes a seat at a table and she arrives moments later. The two of them start talking about the new special exam, and they confirm that the information the school gave them were the same. Suzune hands him a list of the members of her group, the Dragon group, and comments that she doesn't think it was a coincidence that they were together. The group was full of outstanding students which included Hirata and Kushida, but Kiyotaka remarks that Honami was not placed in their group, but was together in his - the Rabbit group. The two check the time and wait for the mail from the school to arrive. The mails arrive and informs them that none of the two were chosen as VIPs. Suzune is a bit annoyed because she feels like she is being told that she is not good enough to be the VIP, and Kiyotaka thinks this behavior is typical of her. In any case, he proposes that they begin to devise strategies to face this test. Then, Suzune asks him a somewhat vague question: she asks him if he already knows how this exam will end. Kiyotaka responds that he cannot give a concrete answer because there were too many students he don't know about. However, he mentions that he already has a strategy that will at least allow them to win.

She considers that thanks to the last special exam they already have an idea of the abilities of the other classes, so she asks him who they should be most careful with. He thinks that Ryūen would be that person. Kiyotaka remarks to himself that Ryūen's modus operandi is similar to his own, and that is why he was able to discover Ryūen's plan in the island exam; Although that means Ryūen might realize that he gave Suzune all the credit, which is something he wants to avoid. Suddenly, she notices something peculiar in the message that the school sent them, but he interrupts her as he saw Ryūen approaching their table together with Ibuki. Ryūen greets Suzune, calling her by her first name. She reiterates that she did not allow him to call him by name and then turns to Ibuki noting that she is now obediently following after him. Ibuki was visibly upset but didn't say anything. Ryūen asks Suzune if she was the VIP of their group, but she only returns the question. He replies that he would gladly tell her, but first he wants to know how he got those results on the island exam. Ryūen adds that he doesn't understand how it happened, because according to Ibuki's report, she hadn't done anything relevant during the test. Suzune argues that she would never let someone like her, who challenged her to a duel while she was ill, find out about her plans. Ibuki finally loses her patience and asks her to have a fight now that she was healthy. But Horikita refuses her saying that using violence was against the rules of the school.

Ryūen mentions that he saw yesterday's conversation between her and Katsuragi, and remarks that she was in the crosshairs with Class A. Suzune says that even Class C was being cautious with her, and that is why he had approached their table. He does not deny this, although he points out that his way of thinking is different from Katsuragi's, especially with regard to bullying people. Going back to the island exam, Ryūen believes if he understands the basis of the exam and the strategies that took place, the rest is easy to understand; Therefore, he does not believe that she could come up with a plan like that. Suzune asks him to explain what that strategy would be if he really understood it, and he tells her that they changed leaders just before the exam ended. She argues that anyone could come to that conclusion after thinking about it a bit, but Ryūen clarifies that everyone believes that this was her idea, although he had doubts. Suzune thinks this explanation was pretty poor, but he goes on to say that what's really important is knowing who took the lead after she retired. Ryūen assumes it would be someone who was involved with her behind the scenes, but she mentions that she has no friends. The only person she can think of would be Kiyotaka but admits that his abilities were not up to par. They both agree that his grades were so low that he can be discarded.

Before leaving, Ryūen takes a photo of Suzune and warns her that other than her, there were many smart people still scheming behind the scenes in Class D. He admits that her plan worked in the previous exam, but assures her that it won't work next time. Saying this, Ryūen and Ibuki leave.
